  4. recall that there's a vending machine
  5. somewhere in the maze.
  6. #1I am taking the liberty of replacing
  7. your batteries.
  8. #2A little dwarf just walked around a
  9. corner, saw you, threw a little axe at
  10. you which missed, cursed, and ran away.
  11. #3It is now pitch dark. if you proceed
  12. you will likely fall into a pit.
  13. #4The ming vase drops with a delicate
  14. crash.
  15. #5Out from the shadows behind you 
  16. pounces a bearded pirate! 'Har, har',
  17. he chortles, 'I'll just take all this
  18. booty and hide it away with me chest
  19. deep in the maze!' He snatches your
  20. treasure and vanishes into the gloom.
  21. #6The troll catches the axe, examines
  22. it, and tosses it back to you saying,
  23. 'Good workmanship, but not very
  24. valuable'.
  25. #7Rubbing the electric lamp is not
  26. particularly rewarding. anyway, nothing
  27. exciting happens.
  28. #8You are at the bottom of a pit with a
  29. broken neck.
  30. #9Just as you reach the other side, the
  31. bridge buckles beneath the weight of
  32. the bear, which was still following you
  33. around. You scrabble desperately for
  34. support, but as the bridge collapses
  35. you stumble back and fall into the
  36. chasm.
